Founded in 1910 in Milan, Italy and born onto the race tracks by 1911, the Alfa Romeo brand has a legendary history that continues to this day.
A History of Speed and Struggle
Alfa Romeo was, is, and will always be known for its racing roots and throughout its long history; it’s been a challenging race. Throughout the early 1900’s, the brand was focused on producing small, aerodynamic cars that excelled at performance and luxury with each premium automobile being hand-built from the ground up. Its racing heritage would result in multiple Grand Prix wins and would also employ some monumental figures including a talented driver named Enzo Ferrari who was part of the Alfa Romeo Racing team and who would later go on to create the Italian Stallion Powerhouse Ferrari.
Racing was in its blood, but so was its leadership in technology especially when it came to engine designs. This innovative prowess would lead to multiple military contracts with the Italian government during World Wars I and II. Being on the brink of financial ruin multiple times, these military contracts would be the fuel that Alfa Romeo needed to keep charging on.
Joining the Fiat Family
Fiat was always involved with Alfa Romeo at one point or another during the company’s storied history. Whether it was business partnerships or part ownerships, it seemed a perfect fit for these two Italian icons. Never fully reaching the financial success of its peers, Alfa Romeo struggled despite the talent involved and by 1986 the company was acquired and integrated into Fiat’s Alfa Lancia Industriale division. By 2007, Alfa Romeo’s transformation was complete becoming Alfa Romeo Automobiles and being fully owned by Fiat Group Automobiles.
Sales of the Alfa Romeo brand in the United States were official in 2008 with mainstream models becoming available in 2015. Not only will this mean wide brand exposure for new car buyers, but also for used cars Las Vegas buyers.
Exotics in Vegas
The exotic car market is often an exclusive privilege for people who want to live the Vegas lifestyle to its fullest. Few have the means to purchase a new exotic automobile, but the used cars Las Vegas market is vibrant especially when it comes to pre-owned luxury. Alfa Romeo cars are a breed of luxury and performance that won’t require a second mortgage as the line is well below the initial asking price of $100,000 for most Italian dream cars.
Drive the Dream
Quality has always been in Alfa Romeo’s DNA, but so is its passion for providing the thrilling experience of the drive for the masses. With its return to the United States and its availability at used cars Las Vegas locations, Alfa Romeo is putting buyers back in the driver’s seat.
